My Luck with Amazon

It's finally Friday!! 

I have already worked, ran the bridge and ran unexpected errands today.

My errands had me so stressed that I went for a long much needed run over the bridge downtown.

Let me fill you in on my day so far.

 Starting with some back ground info I went to sell my books back at the University and they didn't take any of them because EVERY class is using a new edition, but the nice lady told me I could donate them.

Wrong. That's over $500 worth of books.

So I loaded them in my LL Bean tote and as soon as I got home I decided I was going to sell them on Amazon. I have never had good luck with Amazon. EVER. Every time I buy anything, something seems to go wrong. But I figured if I was the seller, it would be okay.

So I listed all my books.

Today I get an email saying someone bought a book and I was so excited! I started looking at how to ship it...come to find out I didn't realize I was responsible for shipping, so I was like that stinks because that comes from my "profit."

Then as I am looking at my account I realize someone purchased a book back in April....it's now May.

So I was like oh S#&*!. I felt so bad, that I left work early to take it to the post office

I sent him an email apologizing that my shipping is late and that I am new at this.
I immediately printed a shipping label and took both books to the post office

I had to go to two different post offices and oh my gosh, they are so rude. I didn't realize you had to have your package already packed with tape and everything..who knew

It cost me over $20 to ship two books..that is so ridiculous.

So I get it shipped, and after my run I see an email from the guy  and this is what it says

Ahh I felt like the worst person to ever sell something off Amazon.

So I will never buy/sell off this site again because I have the worst luck everrrrr

(I feel like I could have condensed that story a tad)

Anyways, moving on to something more happier, I got a few comments on my last post asking where this tank came from

I actually found it at TJ Maxx last week for only $14.99!!

I plan on doing some shopping this weekend, hopefully I can find some more bargains like that!

Oh my...

Hi I am Makenzie, remember me?!

It has been so long since I have blogged my computer signed me out of blogger, whereas it usually keeps me logged in

I have been working my toosh off lately, and when I get home opening my computer is the last thing I feel like doing :(

My Light Bulb Moment

I had such a light bulb moment today!

Many of you probably already thought of this but it just clicked for me today.

Everyday I work out with my iPhone and I have one of those things that hold it on my arm so I don't have to use my hands but it is too big and slides right down my arm no matter how tight I strap that bad boy on. So annoying. Now when I am running, I have to hold it in my hand and hold a water bottle in the other...it's close to a circus act let me tell you.  

What's so gross is that my hands sweat perspire and gets my phone all nasty.

Also, now that it is warming up when I talk on the phone long enough, my makeup rubs/runs off on the screen protector and gets all nasty. 

Ew. 

While running today I remembered watching something on Dr. Oz probably over a year ago about how gross and how many germs are actually on phones.

Here is one statistic that I remembered clearly:

Cell phones have 18 times more bacteria then a toilet handle.

Yeah..that's nasty.

Worst part is it is against your face..

So I thought I need to clean my phone every time I am done working out but what to use?!?

Then I had an idea to use the makeup remover towelettes I bought a few months back! 

I keep them in my gym bag and it is so perfect! I clean my face and iPhone after each workout!

I am not sure if it is actually antibacterial but it makes me feel better anyways. Dr. Oz would probably say that I am just spreading the germs around and not cleaning them off..but hey it's better than not using anything at all!

(I did use Lysol wipes once but I think I thought they were too strong and was going to eat away at my screen protector and my case)

Weekend via iPhone (again!)

I can't believe it is Wednesday and I am just now doing a weekend recap...

This summer thing has my schedule all thrown off.

Here is my weeekend via my iPhone

Friday was my big news...I was suppose to be getting a new car!!!

However that deal fell through unfortunately because the sales guy refused to even lower the price $100 dollars..so my parents figured we could wait until another great deal came along. It was so sad, we even test drove it over night so I really had my hopes up about it.

But Saturday the Air Station which is a big military base here in town had a Dierks Bentley concert that was open to the public!

It was so much fun and he was so good!

Sunday the weather was so nice that Michael and my step dad decided to go fishing...I of course had to tag along because I wanted to lay out on the bow of the boat to tan!!

Sunday I snapped this picture of me and Mikey's drinks!

It was just funny that I grabbed the Clemson tumbler and he grabbed the Carolina one because they are huge rivals in South Carolina. He is such a Carolina fan and I am Clemson..so the competition between the teams when they play is definitely fun!

And mine as well throw Monday into the cycle here since I didn't do a post

This is the only thing that got me through my miserable final that I will say that I got an A on!

Offically Summertime

Okay ladies, phew...talk about 100 lbs off my hope to be soon sun-kissed shoulders.

I had my one and only final yesterday and I didn't start studying for until 2 hours before hand. I even went in an hour early to con my professor into letting me start early..which he did.

I went through 100 question multiple choice test in less than 25 mins.

Turned it on and on my drive home realized that I forgot to write my name on my test.

So..not feeling to confident about it but I have a 100 average going into it so I think that's why I was in the "I don't care summer is tomorrow" mindset.
