Holiday goodness & OOTD

This my favorite time of the year! I just love it! I play Christmas music at work, in the car, at home, on the radio when I sleep..basically 24/7.
But I found two great recipes to get you in the festive holiday mood!

Here is a recipe I found a favorite blog of mine,  Peanut Butter Runner
As soon as I saw the recipe I knew I had to try it so I went out and bought the ingredients. I was so excited to make it that I made it that night for dinner as well as breakfast the next morning :)

Silk Nog Holiday Oatmeal
1/4 cup oats
1/4 cup oat bran (can use all oats)
1 tablespoon ground flax
1/2 ripe banana, sliced thinly
1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
Dried cranberries
1/2 cup Silk Nog
1/2 cup water
Toppings of choice…I used Trader Joe’s Pumpkin Butter, almond butter and mixed berry jam
Combine all ingredients in a small pan and cook over low heat until thickened, about 10 minutes. Stir frequently.

Here is what PBR's looks like. I tried taking pictures of mine, but it didn't look very appealing and you probably wouldn't want to try this amazing recipe because of it...(I need to figure out how to take pictures of food because I try all the time and it never looks like it should)

Also I found this great idea that is so simple:
Making cinnamon bears. (aka really simple gingerbread men!!)

To make you mix 1/2 cup cinnomon into 1/2 cup of applesauce and roll out mixture 1/4' thick between two sheets of plastic wrap.
Remove top sheet, cut with cookie cutter and poke a hole near the top.
Air dry for at least 24 hours, then decorate with puff paint; glue on buttons and ribbon.

I have yet to have time to make one because its finals week and I don't have time to do anything but study (and blog!)

Lastly, here an OOTD from last week. (I will apologize in advance for the gym locker room back ground. Every morning I go to the gym and get ready there so mostly every OOTD will be in the gym. yuck.)
